Implementation
This new version 3.0 requires the same gateway hardware with a new firmware version, and also, a new excel file with more fields and tabs to configure it.
The way the system provides a solution for point 1, 2 and 5 is increasing the number of Lift Control Gateways per block. Now it is possible to have up to 8 gateways per block, numbered from 1 to 8, where #1 is the master that is connected to panel #1 of the block or General Entrance, through RS485+ and RS485- connection, and the others (2..8) are slaves that are connected to the master through A1, B1 connection. Gateway number is specified in the excel file that is uploaded to each gateway. The master LCG receives the commands from panel#1 and resends this info to the rest of slaves LCG attached to it.
The main concept now is that each lift is managed by one or several LCG.
There is a new parameter: GROUP, that has several meanings:
- All the panels or guard units that must activate one lift are assigned with the same GROUP number and also the LCG.
- All the LCG assigned to one lift have the same GROUP number. In this way it is possible to have more relays per lift.
Each gateway manages up to 240 relays through A, B connection.
For the point 7 a new device has been developed: 32 input sensor module ref.1465. This module is connected to the lift controller from lift manufacturer and receives the info of the lift that is going to pick up the user (visitor or resident). This information is sent to the Master LCG through A1, B1 connection and it resends it to the panel #1, that has the strings to be shown in the panel that has been used to call the lift.

For point 8, the connection A1, B1 can be connected to a third-party controller from the lift manufacturer and dialogue with it, providing the info of the floor(s) that must be activated and the info of the lift position.
The rest of new functions are managed thanks to the new excel file that configures the gateway that we explain now.
This excel file has the following tabs:

We will see one by one its functionality.
GENERAL Tab is new and is used to configure the gateway, it shows the following fields:
| Parameter | Range | Description |

| Description | chars | Free text for installer remarks. This text is not uploaded to LCG |
When resident unlocks the door managed by one panel (from monitor or by access control), the associated gateway defined in GROUP will activate the relay defined as Homing Relay to send the lift to the floor where panel is located. If Protocol Integration is enabled the gateway will send one activation to 3rd party gateway of the customized floor.
This Tab can contain only the panels associated with the lift controlled by this LCG but for commodity and uniformity in all LCG it can contain all the panels related to lift control.
APARTMENT Tab associates one relay to each possible activation for each apartment and associates one or several licenses to it.
| Parameter | Range | Description |
| Apartment Number | 0001..9899 | Apartment that unlocks or belongs resident |
| Floor relay number | 10..249 | Relay that enables the floor for that apartment |

The guard unit can enable the lift to allow visitors to go to one apartment floor using a specific option. When triggered, the lift will go to the floor where is located the guard unit (Homing relay) and then it will travel till the floor defined for such apartment (APARTMENT Tab).
Practical example
In the following example we will see how to configure the excel files for the LCG that manages each lift.

In this example there are some apartments that can be accessed from lift directly in the hall (lift door opens directly to the hall of the apartment). We call these lift PRIVATE LIFTS. Every private lift (1, 2, 3) access to two different apartments in each floor, so it has two independent doors.
There are also 2 general (service) lifts (4,5) from where it is possible to access to the corridor that grants access to all apartments on this floor. It also gives access to the last floor where is located the swimming pool and terrace only for authorized users.
The floor plan is the following:

In this project it is necessary 4x LCG, one per private lift and one for the service lifts. Each LCG will belong to a different GROUP: LCG 1, GROUP1, .. LCG4, GROUP4.
For each private lift it is necessary to assign to each apartment a different floor number since different relays must be activated to know the destination floor and gate to be opened. Also, for each of this apartments it is assigned one license to allow access to the terrace and or garage on -01 floor.
For the service lifts it is necessary to define one relay per floor and make a search by floor.
The excel configuration file for each LCG is included in the zip file.
Product presentation
Lift control aims to allow residents/visitors to access only authorized floors through elevators using their respective cards.

Visitor access
When a visitor calls some unit and the resident opens the door from the monitor, the panel uses the lift control to:
- Call the lift to the floor where the panel is installed (where the visitor is going to take it)
- Enable the lift to go to the resident’s floor
For that purpose, Ref: 9545 Meet control gateway and Ref:1616 - 10 Relay Module are used.
